Cindy Wu Pan's Piano Studio
About Cindy
Cindy Wu is a Boston based educator, collaborative pianist, and performing artist. She received a Master's degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore. Her teaching career began in 2003 after two years of working in New York City as an arts manager. Her rigorous music training and experiences with teachers such as Benjamin Pasternack and Ick-Choo Moon have broadened her understanding of the wide array of styles in teaching. She tailors her lessons to adapt to different personalities and musical interests. She is also very involved in promoting the arts programs in schools, and she has been the co-chair of the Arts Committee in Brookline for the last decade.
My philosophy is to provide my students with a strong piano foundation and a life-long appreciation for music.
Besides teaching, Cindy has been working in Brookline schools as a staff accompanist for the middle school chorus since 2017. She is also an active chamber musician performing in venues in the surrounding areas. She is a member of both the Massachusetts Music Teacher Association (MMTA) and the New England Piano Teachers' Association (NEPTA), where she is involved in judging piano competitions and organizing events.
